NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
Nicole Kidman is set to receive the 2025 Women In Motion Award presented by Kering at Cannes Film Festival later this month. The Award, which has been presented at the fest since 2015, recognizes female artists who, through their career and commitment, advance the place of women in cinema and in society. In 2017, while presenting Sofia Coppola's “The Beguiled” at the Festival de Cannes, Kidman decried gender inequality in the industry, and publicly pledged to shoot with a female director every 18 months - in the eight years since, she has already collaborated with 19 female directors. This year’s edition of the festival takes place May 13 - 24.
