Arkasha Stevenson - who previously directed on TV’s “Legion” and “Brand New Cherry Flavor” - has directed and co-written the newest entry in the “The Omen” franchise, “The First Omen,” which opens wide today - Stevenson talked to Indiewire about how she pitched the film, her feature debut.
Rose Byrne will be joined by Ariana DeBose and Demi Lovato in a new drama feature film, “Tow,” about an unhoused woman (Byrne) fighting her way out of tow-company hell through the Seattle courts. Stephanie Laing is attached to direct from a script by Annie Weisman, Jonathan Keasey, and Brant Boivin. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.
A documentary about Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley from exec producers Abby Ginzberg and Angela Tucker is currently in the works, planned as the first film in new series, “She Dared to Dream,” about influential female politicians. See Deadline for more info about the project.
