Trailer watch: new Netflix doc “Black Barbie” is set to chart the impact three Black women at Mattel had on the evolution of the brand, and on the creation of the first Black Barbie. Written, directed, and produced by Lagueria Davis, and exec produced by Shonda Rhimes, “Black Barbie” will premiere on the streamer June 19.
Toni Collette will star in a new Netflix Canada limited series from creator Mae Martin (“Feel Good”). “Wayward” is described as a thriller “set in a bucolic but sinister town that explores the insidious underbelly of the ‘troubled teen industry’.” Martin will also star, as well as perform co-showrunner, and exec producer duties, while Sarah Gadon and Patrick J. Adams are also among the cast. Deadline broke the news.

“The Watchers” follows Mina (Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night. You can’t see them, but they see everything.
